The year 2021 was a roller coaster ride. Through all the ups and downs, twists and turns, Xord continued to stay firm and carry through till the end. Here are some of the biggest achievements of Xord in 2021: Lying at the heart of Xord is our Research circle, where thorough research is carried out and product ideas are generated. In 2021, our Research circle focused on producing high-quality and easy-to-understand research. The research targeted the latest protocols and technologies in Web3 such as Ethereum 2.0, Zero-Knowledge Protocols, and MEV. It does not end here though, they are also actively contributing to the blockchain ecosystem through open-source contributions. One such instance is their pull request on Lodestar, an Ethereum 2.0 client, which is expected to be merged soon. Let’s move a little towards the products that Xord has worked on in the past year. Our Voir Studio team has been vigorously working on their protocol, Unipilot. In Nov 2021, Unipilot launched on mainnet and currently has a TVL of about $1 million. Apart from that, our team developed a one-stop wallet, Metadot, for the Polkadot Ecosystem which also stood as the runner-up in Encode’s Polkadot Hackathon, 2021. Metadot is a developer-centric wallet that will support everything a user might need in the Polkadot ecosystem including transactions, integrations, swaps and even governance. In Jan 2021, our design team came out with their own identity, Expedite Design. Expedite Design is now recognized one of the top Blockchain UI/UX Design and Branding Agencies in Pakistan. Their team has worked on multiple projects in the scope of UI/UX Designing and Branding, Graphics Design, Video Editing, WordPress Development, and one of the blockchain community favorites, NFTs. Expedite Design continues to grow as blockchain advocates by channeling their passion for design and blockchain technology through their UX Design meetups. They conducted 2 successful meetups in the past year which served as proof of the talent we have in Pakistan and the willingness of attendees to learn and become better designers and artists. Following Expedite Design, our Blockchain Security and Smart Contract Auditing division, BlockApex also showed its presence on the map as one of the most reliable and quality auditing firms. BlockApex worked on providing quality audits for many products including Polkalokr, PhoenixDAO, Unipilot, Dafi, and Sonar Bridge, producing their fair share of revenue in 2021. Not only this, the team is going strong and has developed expert-level practices in penetration testing which has put them in the Top 10 leaderboard on HackerOne in Pakistan (At 3rd position, dated: 12-1-2022). Performing exceptionally well in EVM-based smart contract audits, BlockApex is focusing on becoming one of the most reliable and high-quality Blockchain Security and Auditing firms in the Web3 space. As blockchain advocates, Xord plans on continuing its legacy of achieving bigger milestones every day and generating value in the Web3 ecosystem through research and development.
